Just as he predicted several times throughout his ministry, Jesus was delivered to the Roman authorities and sentenced to death by crucifixion. He was mocked and mistreated, though he was innocent. As we study this portion of our Lord’s life — when he was in the crosshairs of bitterness — we learn how we should react when others mistreat us.
